The Calgary Stampede is hiring for open, year-round casual part-time positions on the Client & Event Services and Park Patrol teams – join us for an Open House event on Monday, March 21!

Come down to the Grandstand Building on Stampede Park and meet our hiring team – Managers and Supervisors will be available for interviews to discuss the position you are interested in, and how your experience will set you up for success on our team.

Please remember to bring your resume with you. As you may receive an offer that day, we ask that you please bring your ID, proof of your Social Insurance, banking information, and any relevant certifications you may have (ex: ProServe Certificate, Alberta Solicitor General Security License, Valid Class 5 Drivers License Non-GDL, etc).

Parking for the Open House event is complimentary – please inform the Parking Cashier at the gate that you are attending the Open House, and they will let you in.

We will be looking to fill the following year-round, casual part-time positions:

Park Patrol Agents
The Park Patrol Agent is responsible for providing asset and loss protection through crime prevention, emergency response, and monitoring compliance with security and safety policy. This position will achieve exceptional customer service through the promotion of security initiatives.

Porters
The Porter is responsible for moving goods and equipment from venue to venue and storage to floor. The Porter will ensure the timely execution of events by assisting the culinary and logistics team. The Porter will assist the Stewards with cleaning and sanitizing all culinary team areas, equipment and assigned food preparation areas. Porters will ensure waste is disposed of efficiently as per Alberta Health standards. The Porter is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring all work areas remain free of debris, uncluttered and all chemicals stored, used and maintained according to WHMIS standards.

Banquet Captains
The Banquet Captain, as an important member of the Food and Beverage leadership team, is responsible for personally creating positive encounters with our guests as well as leading their immediate team to deliver consistent, memorable, world-class experiences. Supervise specific functions, or a team working within a larger function in a variety of venues throughout Stampede Park, ensuring service staff adhere to all standards and promote our Western Hospitality and Values at all times. The expectation is to go above and beyond to ensure all our guests feel especially welcome and valued.

Banquet and Fine Dining Servers
The Banquet Server is an important member of the Food and Beverage team responsible for personally creating positive encounters with our guests by delivering consistent, memorable, world-class experiences.  Professionally serving food and beverage in a variety of venues throughout Stampede Park while adhering to all service standards and promoting our Western Hospitality and Values. The expectation is to go above and beyond to ensure all our guests feel especially welcome and valued.

Parking Cashiers
As a member of the Parking team, the Parking Cashier is one of the first faces a guest, volunteer or employee sees when visiting Stampede Park. This position will ensure that as the first point of contact, they will consistently provide an exceptional experience to everyone they see, greet and interact with. The Parking Cashier will also ensure that cash and credit card transactions are handled appropriately and accurately at all times.

Parking Attendants
As a member of the Parking team, the Parking Attendant is one of the first faces a guest, volunteer or employee sees when visiting Stampede Park. This Parking Attendant will ensure, that as the first point of contact, they will consistently provide an exceptional experience to everyone they see, greet, and direct. The Parking Attendant will also ensure the safety of our Park by directing traffic in an orderly, safe and friendly manner.

Guest Ambassadors:
The Guest Ambassador is a member of the guest experience team, responsible for delivering an exceptional experience to everyone, including guests, volunteers and employees, through support and delivery of guest service programs across the organization.

Client Concierge:
The Client Concierge is responsible for representing BMO Centre management as the client’s first point of contact once an event is onsite. This position is critical to the successful delivery of event operations and supplier services to a broad range of diverse clients and events in a fast-paced environment. The Client Concierge is a member of a multi-faceted team responsible for providing service excellence with superior professionalism.

Exhibitor Concierge:
The Exhibitor Concierge (internally known as Event Coordinator) ensures that exhibitors have a seamless experience. They will be able to assist with the exhibitor journey from the pre-planning process through to the move-out. The team will answer questions about what services are required, greet and direct exhibitors upon arrival, provide quality assurance to ensure all services are received, troubleshoot, offer booth enhancements such as meals delivered to exhibitors in their booths and ensure that exhibitors have everything they need for move-out. The Exhibitor Concierge’s goal is to ensure that exhibitors have a point of contact and have a great experience.

Custodian
The Custodian (internally known as Venue Services Attendant I) will provide an exceptional level of customer service to our guests while maintaining the appearance of the Calgary Stampede's buildings by performing housekeeping/janitorial services. This position requires a flexible schedule and may require overnight work.

Venue Services Scheduler
Venue Services Scheduler (internally known as Scheduler) is a member of the Venue Services team responsible for scheduling Venue Service staff. This is a casual part-time position, and a flexible schedule is required. The Venue Services Scheduler positions available are casual-part-time positions that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours throughout the week.

Event Crew Operator
The Event Crew Operator (Venue Services Attendant III) is a member of the Venue Services Team, responsible for ensuring facility cleanliness, sanitation and overall appearance during all shifts. This position involves providing exceptional customer service to all clients, guests and other departments, the operation of motorized vehicles and equipment, performing general labour tasks and facility operations as assigned. The Event Crew Operator (Venue Services Attendant III) positions available are casual-part-time positions that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours throughout the week.
