Novice Saddle Bronc is governed by the same rules as Saddle Bronc; the only difference is the age of the riders—contestants must be 21-years-old or younger. Judges score both the rider and the horse for a combined total of a possible 100 points. Contestants compete in a minimum of two go-rounds, with the top three competing in the finals.
