The Stampede Store, together with Smithbilt Hats, is offering the unique opportunity to create your own customized cowboy hat. Come in to the store, try the range of samples, get measured, choose a material, style and colour and allow three weeks for creation. Vicki Austin, Store merchandise manager, suggests coming in before June 10.

“A custom hat allows you to create something that reflects your style,” said Austin. “A well made hat, like one from Smithbilt, will keep its shape and last forever.”

If you’re already the proud owner of a cowboy hat, the Stampede Store will remove last year’s smudges, clean it and re-shape it for free. At the same time take a look at the exclusive line of 2009 Calgary Stampede collectables.

This year, the collection features the Stampede’s superstar bucking sensation and five-time world champion bareback bronc Grated Coconut. The annual Calgary Stampede commemorative belt buckle captures his essence and is available in a number of different finishes.

The Store also carries exquisite Montana Silversmith buckles, jewellery and accessories; electroplated so they never need to be polished.

Another popular purchase is something from the range of Stampede branded leather items which include luggage, totes and notebooks. Also available are custom designed buckles, glassware, lapel pins, jewellery, Stampede posters, videos and a variety of home décor items.
