Executive coaching, 500 cattle, and tiaras: all part of the life and times of Wynne Chisholm, recently elected to the Calgary Stampede's volunteer board of directors.
Chisholm and her father own W.A. Ranches, a cow-calf operation. She’s also a strategic planning and executive coaching consultant. Recently a client remarked they had never had to work a project around calving season before!
Husband Bob says she has two speeds: “flat-out” or “face plant.” It's mostly “flat-out” as she’s been busy running the businesses and bringing her agriculture, business management and strategic planning skills to the Stampede.
Her life-long relationship with the Stampede started when her grade four teacher entered the royalty competition. Chisholm set her sights on the same and was crowned a Stampede Princess in 1976. Since then she’s initiated annual western events for special needs children and brought Weadickville to life at Stampede Park.
